Tuesday Tip: Pending Invites on LinkedIn – Send Them a LinkedIn Message

If you aren’t sure whether or not to accept an invite to connect on LinkedIn, click on the words “See All” right below the pending invites icon in your menu bar. Click on the left pointing arrow to the right of the person’s name who is sending the invite. (Or if they personalized the invite, you’ll see a quotation type of box instead of an arrow.) Now you can type a short message through LinkedIn asking that person what prompted them to reach out to you. Wait to see what they write back, and then decide whether or not to accept the invite.
