If you are on Snapchat you’ve most likely seen custom Geofilters. These are especially prevalent at events where a large number of people are attending. If you are hosting or attending an event you should consider creating a Snapchat Geofilter to promote. When someone applies your Geofilter it is shown to their audience, which potentially reaches an entirely new audience & gains exposure for your business or event.
There are two types of Geofilters; community which are at no charge or on-demand which can be purchased for a small fee (based on the demand, area covered, & duration) You can learn more about getting started with Geofilters here:
I’m still amazed more people aren’t taking advantage of this less expensive, more authentic method of marketing to their audience. I have been to over 30 shows this year alone & this is the first time I saw a band use a Geofilter at their show.
Snapchat recently made it a lot easier for consumers to create their own custom Geofilters (with no graphic design knowledge!) You can use a template for special occasions. However, I would recommend as a business or event you work with a graphic designer to customize your Geofilter.
